Departure launches in London

Today, Departure launches in London.  The following week the film will go to cinemas across the UK.

The film has had a successful run of screenings at film festivals around the world.

“Hormones are raging in this beautifully shot, quietly involving character study powered by an excellent turn from Lawther”

Empire **** (4 Stars)

The film stars Juliet Stevenson (Truly, Madly, Deeply) as mother, Beatrice, and Alex Lawther (Imitation Game) as her teenage son, Elliot.

“Sweetly poetic… The film looks like an impressionistic painting.. the most moving emotions are held in Alex Lawther’s eyes… Stevenson and Brossard’s performances also ring outstandingly true”

Little White Lies **** (4 Stars)

Departure is in cinemas across the UK

I feel very honoured to have been part of the fantastic creative team for Andrew Steggall’s debut feature film.

“Sumptuously shot and delicately crafted… Departure is true to its title in a genre stuffed full of tired cliches”

Gay Times **** (4 Stars)

The music evolved over the whole development process, from the initial script-writing to post-production. We ended up with an intimate score that subtly shapes the emotional arc of the story.

“Alex Lawther steps up impressively into his first lead role… an assuredly composed coming-of-age tale…”

Screendaily

Grab an opportunity to see this brilliant film… Departure launches in London today, 20th May 2016.
